Heavy Metal: Geomatrix Arcade (USA)

The story takes place in the late 21st century, where evolution in Nanobot micro-robotic technology allowed people to abandon the real world for cyberspace.
Due to a catastrophic event that floods most of the Earth's landmass, power wars between multiple gangs began (using cyberspace as the battleground).

The game is a spiritual successor to Spawn: In the Demon's Hand, with the gameplay similar to the Cyber Troopers Virtual-On series, in that it takes place behind-the-back, with a camera lock-on to an opponent.
The gameplay with a 8-way joysrick and 4 buttons, one for melee, one for weapons, one from jumping and one for switching targets, the game also allows combinationation attacks(i.e. jump shooting).
Matches are played in either a 1v1, 2v1, or 2v2 scenario, with up to two human players playing at a time (though, two separate cabinets can be linked up for four-player multiplayer).

Each character starts with a weapon including swords and both small and large firearms, weapons are laid out across the field and range from dinky guns to full-on missle launchers.
The skycam missle actually changes your view to a birds-eye scope, where you can launch missles-a-plenty while your opponent runs for life. If your weapon runs out, you can beat ’em down with punches and kicks though hand-to-hand combat.
There are a few elements to balance out gameplay in Heavy Metal. After players get hit they can pull of a quick recover flip in the air to get out of trouble.

In this battles you need to manage spacing between you and your rivals, weapons spawn is also important to control or you'll be blasted in few seconds, also is possible bait the AI and trap them.This battles are ideal to master the game and learn how it works.

In co-op battles players can revive their partners after their death with a push of a button. There’s a glide feature to dodge incoming weapons. Or you can pull off a plain jump and glide to get out of the way.
