In this video, I am explaining one of the most common issues with semi-automatic top-loading washing machines which is the gearbox failure.

I’ll show you exactly what to look for when diagnosing a faulty gearbox and explain how the system works in simple terms.

I've also explained the common faults, including:

❗️How the gearbox operates using a gear ratio
❗️Why it needs extra force to move the wash plate (agitator)
❗️Common signs of wear, including water-damaged seals and worn plastic cogs
❗️How to dismantle the gearbox safely and inspect internal parts
❗️The correct way to reassemble everything without damaging the plastic casing
