🚨 Suspicious Death in Joginder Nagar, Rama Mandi | Family Alleges Murder After Woman Found Dead
A shocking incident has surfaced from Joginder Nagar area of Rama Mandi, where a 30-year-old woman, identified as Meeshu, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Following the incident, the victim’s family accused her husband of murder and created a ruckus, allegedly vandalizing the house.
According to reports, police reached the spot after receiving information through the control room. The body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem at the Civil Hospital. Investigation is currently underway.
🧾 What the Family Alleged
The deceased’s brother, Atul, stated that Meeshu was married around 12 months ago to Avinash, a resident of Joginder Nagar.
He alleged that:
Soon after marriage, his sister was harassed and physically assaulted by her husband.
Complaints were previously made to the police.
However, the matter was settled after intervention by family members.
On the day of the incident, the family reportedly received a call stating that Meeshu had died by suicide after hanging herself from a ceiling fan.
However, when they reached the house, they claimed to have seen finger marks on her neck, raising suspicion of strangulation and murder.
👮 Police Statement
ASI Manjinder Singh from Rama Mandi Police said that:
Information was received about the death of a woman in Joginder Nagar.
On reaching the spot, marks were observed on the victim’s neck.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.
Further action will be taken based on family statements and medical report findings.
Police have started an official investigation, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the postmortem report.
