Mid Hants Railway. Alresford model railway. Christmas Special

Model of the Mid Hants Railway. I started building a model of Alresford Station in 1978, just after the Watercress Line opened. However, this became unrealistic, and was soon scrapped.
Then in 2022 I made a fresh start on my second model railway. Using the photographs and plans I acquired in the late 1970s, I started construction .
The idea was to place the model in the late 1960's / early 1970's to enable steam and diesel operation. However, like the real Watercress line, I do welcome any loco to run as a visitor!!
I have scratch built the buildings around the station using original photos. The main exception is the goods shed. The original was demolished and rebuilt since the 1970's, and although I have original photos, I have reduced the size of the model because it obstructed the view to the sidings behind!
The buildings that represent Alresford, St Michael's Church, farmland and Station Approach are kit built models to represent a built up area.
