In warmer seasons, dancers in Toronto often bust a move by the waterfront downtown. But right now? They're breaking it down inside dance studios like Scarborough's Simply Swagg. 🕺

Founded in 2009 by Paul Thurton, the Simply Swagg Dance Studio has encouraged an entire generation to dance like nobody's watching.

“When I first opened it, I didn't expect it to have the effects that it did. As I got older, I really started to see how dance was just the tool to really access these kids’ hearts and minds and then through there you can really see their confidence growing,” Thurton says.

In partnership with @CityNews, #TheGreenLineTO team headed to the studio near Milner Avenue and McCowan Road to see how dance has helped youth in the neighbourhood of Agincourt-Malvern better process their emotions and release their inhibitions.
