This figure came out alongside the 2017 Wonder Woman movie and… well, bless her heart, Mattel tried. Likeness to Gal Gadot? Eh. Articulation? Barely. Body type? She’s more runway model than warrior queen. That said, she still pulls her weight as a solid Amazon background piece in a fantasy display.

🔹 Next in line: “Cloaked Wonder Woman” from the same Mattel movie wave –
Sculpted nicely, the robe and hooded cloak give her a mystical vibe, but let’s be real: if the Themyscira version had limited motion, this one’s practically a statue wrapped in fabric. Gorgeous for display, frustrating for posing—unless your idea of an action shot is “standing still dramatically.”

🔹 And finally: Gold Armor Wonder Woman from McFarlane’s DC Multiverse line (2020, based on Wonder Woman 1984) –
Now this is where the goddess energy comes roaring in. With a beefier 7-inch scale, much sharper sculpting, and solid articulation, McFarlane absolutely elevates the Amazon game here. The likeness to Gal Gadot is the strongest of the bunch, and the gold eagle armor? Chef’s kiss. This one commands a shelf like a true queen.

So while Mattel’s versions play more like tribute figures, it’s McFarlane who brings the real Amazon heat. And hey—it’s Tell the Truth Day, so let’s be honest: sometimes it takes a few tries before we get the Wonder Woman we deserve. 💃⚔️✨
