Provide just enough food to sustain the worms for the duration of your trip. Slow-decomposing food like pumpkin or melon rinds works well.

2. Prepare the Bedding
Ensure the bedding (such as shredded paper, coconut coir, or leaves) is moist but not soggy.
Add extra bedding to help maintain a balance of moisture and prevent food from going bad.

3. Regulate Moisture
If you’re going on holiday during a hot season, make sure the worm farm is adequately hydrated. Add damp newspaper or sprinkle a little water to keep the environment moist.
