This video is a constructive criticism of the current state of American society and how we can move forward as American Citizens to address the monstrous acts of violence that is ravaging our communities. There is no hiding behind the fact that America has a serious mental health crisis in this country, and the system that is currently upheld to purchase legal firearms and ammunition in America is an abhorrent failure. In this video, I reflect upon the current reality of the situation living as an American Citizen in the United States, and how these affect the everyday lives of the Average American.

I address three potential solutions to deter the monstrous acts and preventable causes:

1) Access to adequate mental health services necessary to all American Citizens, at a reasonable cost, or subsidized by taxes and government intervention.

2) Implementation and Restructural Design of the Current System that conducts "eligibility" for a legal firearm purchase and ammunition. The current system that we currently have in place clearly does not deter these monstrous acts of extreme violence from occurring. There needs to be a more thorough background check, mental health evaluation, psychological evaluation, and screening process in order to purchase a legal firearm. Purchasing a firearm and ammunition should not be as easy as going to the grocery store to buy food.

3) Simply put, Law Enforcement needs to do their job. There is no other way to reword this, water it down, or sugar coat, when an imminent threat that endangers the life and well-being of the General Public, that threat must be immediately neutralized with the least amount of casualties possible.

When the Uvalde Shooting happened in Texas, body camera footage from law enforcement was provided to the public once those court documents were released. You can see parents screaming, freaking out, and being visibly upset and vocal at the law enforcement officers that were too afraid to go in and save their children from the onslaught.

These law enforcement officers have private military industrial complex firepower, adequate funding, and the numbers to overwhelm the perpetrator. They also have access to equipment and deterrents such as smoke grenades, flashbangs, and drones.

Please note, these are just generalizations of what I personally believe needs to be addressed in order for us to move forward as a society and progress so that the safety of the American People can be ensured.

However, if we never get our representatives to introduce legislation, laws, or bills to legally address the situation, nothing will change.

If our representatives choose to take checks from lobbyists and firearm manufacturers over the best interests of the American people, nothing will change.

If we never provide adequate mental health services for all American Citizens, regardless of socioeconomic background, race, religion, or ethnicity, nothing will change.

We can agree to disagree, but one thing we can all agree on is that something needs to change.
