For the last seven years, we’ve concluded Compassion Immersion series by studying the life of someone whose life exemplified the beautiful call of Jesus Christ to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This year, we hone in on the life of Amy Carmichael (1867-1951), whose bravery and courage transformed not only her hometown of Belfast, Ireland, but also Bangalore, India where she served as a missionary. We’ll see how her tireless courage in the face of all sorts of obstacles not only helped countless women and children, but also is a stirring example of someone whose vibrant life with Jesus offered her “a chance to die.”
