Paolo Martinello is a freelance author/illustrator of comic books and graphic novels popular in Italy and France. He is based in Bologna, Italy. He has also illustrated the Epic Tarot Deck for Lo Scarabeo.

The deck has 78 cards with 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana divided into four suits – Wands. Cups, Swords, and Pentacles The court cards are page, knight, queen and king. The cards are 2 ¾ x 4 ¾ or roughly 60 x 120 mm. The kit comes with a 62-page guidebook written in five languages – English, Italian, Spanish, French, and German. You get about 14 pages per language. The descriptions for each card are not definitions but points to ponder that relate to the meaning of the card; it’s up to the tarot reader to study up on basic card meanings.
