What is known as 2nd Chilika is actually one part of the huge Rengali reservoir that spreads across multiple districts of Odisha.

It's located in Pallahara block of Angul district on the eastern side of the Rengali reservoir which has been built on river Brahmani. Distance from Angul town is about 90 kms and takes about 2 hrs 20 minutes.

Distance from capital Bhubaneswar is about 200 kms and time taken is 5 hours via Dhenkanal, Sarang and Phulajhari.
