XS650 at Auerberg

A mountain climb had been on our bucketlist for a while. So when we discovered Auerberg Klassik on the internet, we decided to participate. We drove 925 kms from Harlingen, the Netherlands, to Bernbeuren. And back. We must be mad.
We took both our Yamaha XS650's, a good decision. I started out on our yellow XS. After the first climb - together with all the other 250 participants - its clutch cable broke. Somehow, I managed to get back to the paddock, 1,5 km from the starting area. There I changed to the Rickman XS, which ran pretty well all day.
My 70 years old body did less well. After the first day I was very, very tired, so much that we decided to skip the Sunday runs. Nevertheless, we had a terrific event. More about it later in my blog and maybe in some Dutch magazines.
