Not a dream [Anna Devane]

I don't think it's any surprise that Anna Devane qualifies as "favourite badass" for quite a few GH watchers. And while she is most certainly that, I think what many Anna fans appreciate about the character is the addition of her other roles - woman, mother, wife, friend, etc. - which make her so well rounded. I am grateful for these sides of Anna that allow her to be much more than simply an agent or a badass, defying the age-old stereotypes for female characters. The many, and at times conflicting sides of Anna never cease to be fascinating. She is a character who has achieved and suffered her fair share. And much of that suffering has been directly or indirectly linked to her career. A staple of Anna from the very beginning has been her battle with the murky moral standards in being an agent, which also seep into her personal life. This song/video signifies to me the way in which her personal flaws and being an agent have cost Anna many things. Though we tend to glorify the hero(in)es, what is left behind after the battle ends is, in my opinion, the best part of the story.

So, enough essay writing about my all time favourite leading lady. I hope you enjoy this one! I won't tell you how many months it has taken to complete this. I struggled with the colouring in this vid especially, and eventually just settled for what you see here. But overall, I am pleased with how it turned out.
