The BJP alliance has registered a massive victory in the Maharashtra municipal elections. The BJP alliance captured 25 out of 29 municipalities. The BJP alone won in 22 municipalities. With victories in 1,440 out of 2,869 wards, the BJP emerged as the single largest party.

Following the victory in Maharashtra, PM Modi begins his two-day visit to Bengal and Assam today. The Prime Minister will flag off the first sleeper Vande Bharat train from Howrah to Guwahati in Malda today. He will also inaugurate rail and road projects worth over ₹3,250 crore.

Amidst the ongoing tensions in Iran, the repatriation of Indians has begun. Two flights carrying Indians from Iran landed at Delhi airport late last night. They said the Indian government provided significant assistance in their return. Internet services have been shut down there for the past ten days.

President Donald Trump has issued a new threat regarding control over Greenland. He said that heavy extra tariffs would be imposed on countries that do not support the US. He stated that Greenland is essential for America's national security and that they will acquire it.
