Ridoy and his pet duck are flying high along with a flock of wild ducks. What are they observing from the sky is illustrated in worked by Abanindranath Tagore in this piece of the story.

This piece has been adapted from Abanindra Nath Tagore's famous story "Buro Angla" [Ananda Publishers]. Shortened and adapted for pre-school children.

"Ridoy" was known to all animals as the boy without a heart.
But when he is cursed to become as small as a thumb, he has to depend on the animals for his survival.
In order to become human again he has to reach Manas Sarobar in the Himalayan mountains.
So he tags along with a flock of migrating geese and goes with them on an epic journey across the snow-capped peaks. He has many fantastic adventures, helping distressed creatures and fighting a historic battle in the palace of a legendary king. And along the way, Ridoy discovers that he is capable of great courage and deep kindness. Abanindranath Tagore weaves the folklore and myths of Bengal into a tapestry of wonder and beauty in this remarkable tale of heroism and friendship.
