Nestled high atop the Niagara Escarpment, Queenston Heights Park is leisure and history in one scenic location.
It includes two significant historical sites:
• Brock's Monument.
It’s situated on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights
It's the final resting place of Major General Sir Isaac Brock and his Aide-de-Camp Lieutenant Colonel John Macdonell.
The current monument was constructed between 1853 and 1856, which replaced an earlier Monument to Brock on the battlefield (1824–1840).
• Landscape of Nations: The Six Nations and Native Allies Commemorative
Memorial recalls the historic ceremony of reconciliation which took place on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, 1815, restoring peace among native nations who fought against each other during the war.
