The roundtable discussion examines Digital Burnley's top priorities now and in the future, successes and challenges, and ways in which Digital Lancashire can further support the cluster to achieve its future ambitions and continued digital growth. The panel includes:
Tom Stables, Digital Lancashire Chair: A founding director of Digital Lancashire, Tom is the Creative Director of brand growth agency, 3manfactory. As Chair, Tom provides strategic leadership within the organisation, bringing expertise in design, branding and marketing and also sits on the Creative Lancashire board.
Leon Calverley is founder and director of performance optimisation agency, Door4: He has led the growth of the business since 2000, which now employs 18 people. Door4 works in partnership with ambitious growth brands in e-commerce and lead-generation, to understand the customer journey, and deliver traffic through content, search and conversion rate optimisation. The business’s current and recent client roster includes EGO Powerplus, National Fostering Group, Magnet Trade and the Department for International Trade.
Ben Whitaker, Curriculum Manager, Burnley College Director, Edufuturists: Ben is a certified Google Trainer, Google Innovator and former Assistant Principal, who has led training around the UK and beyond. He is a passionate speaker who engages and inspires all those he works with. He has a background in leading sixth form, senior leadership and school governance. Ben's teaching speciality is 11-18 Religious Education and Philosophy. Ben is currently Curriculum Manager and Digital Technology Lead at Burnley College in Lancashire, where he is based. He is a Director of Edufuturists, where he co-hosts weekly podcasts and discusses the future of education with special reference to digital and technology skills.
Adam Holden - Business Support Officer Economy and Growth Council, Burnley Council: Adam has worked in business support since 2007 covering several public-funded programmes including the Regional Growth Fund capital investment scheme and Local Enterprise Growth Initiative start-up support. Working in both the public and private sector over this time.
