National Breastfeeding Week 2023

Описание к видео National Breastfeeding Week 2023

National Breastfeeding Week which is an annual campaign dedicated to the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding.

All parents should be supported however they decide to feed their baby, and that includes those who choose to breastfeed in public.

Family Hubs has opened two new infant feeding rooms at Blackberry and Pickles Coppice Family Hubs which provide a quiet space to feed your little ones.

The room includes: a breastfeeding chair, sofa, water cooler, a table and chairs for older children to play and other small items to make you feel more at home.

Mothers are protected by the 2010 Equality Act to breastfeed anywhere, but we know some mothers find breastfeeding in public challenging at first, may prefer a calm, quiet setting to feed their little one or some may choose not to breastfeed in public for cultural or religious reasons.

The rooms offer a dedicated space for families who wish to use them, while providing spaces where support can also be given.

There’s lots of help and support available locally and on the NHS website.
