PdxI is effective even with the high IQ client who believes he can 'out-think' therapy. Since the focus of PdxI identifies observable cycles (rather than getting caught in the client's 'spin' on things) he is unable to escape the factual reality of his 'repetitive orbits' and patterns. In addition, the intervention is simple enough that even the low IQ client can gain awareness of his patterns and thereby take responsibility to undo them. Those young and 'young at heart' thrive on proving their 'free-will' potential is stronger than their predicted behavior.
