In addition to User Fields, the platform also provides Bot Fields.
The key difference between the two is:

User Fields – store information specific to an individual user (e.g., their name, email, preferences).

Bot Fields – store information that applies to the entire chatbot, accessible to all users (e.g., business details, company address, or support contact info).

When to Use Bot Fields?

If you need to reuse the same information across multiple flows, such as your business name, office hours, or contact details, bot fields save time and ensure consistency.

How to Create a Bot Field

From the Bot Fields section in the platform, click on the blue “+ New Bot Field” button on the right-hand side.

Enter a name for the bot field (e.g., Business Name).

Select the field type from the dropdown menu:

Text

Number

Boolean (true/false)

Date

DateTime

JSON

Assign a default value (optional) that will apply across your chatbot.

(Optional) Add a description to clarify the purpose of the field.

(Optional) Assign it to a folder for better organization.

Press the blue “Save” button.

Once saved, the bot field (e.g., Business Name) will be created and ready for use.

How Bot Fields Work in Your Flows

Any bot field can be referenced throughout your chatbot to dynamically display its value.

Updating a bot field’s value will automatically update it everywhere it’s used across your flows.
