Описание к видео Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor: «The idea of the American Dream is not available to everyone»

Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor is a professor of African American Studies at Princeton University and one of the leading voices in activism for the rights of racial minorities in the United States. Taylor has studied racial segregation in housing access and explains how African Americans suffer from historical legal and housing discrimination, a marginalisation that worsened with the financial crisis. She concludes that, despite the creativity and courage of activist movements, the magnitude of the housing crisis requires state intervention to provide effective solutions.
