OpenWRT 10 Gbps - Install & Testing the Dell QLogic 57810 Dual Port 10 Gb Network Adapter

Описание к видео OpenWRT 10 Gbps - Install & Testing the Dell QLogic 57810 Dual Port 10 Gb Network Adapter

In this video, I am going to setup the Dell QLogic BCM57810 Dual SFP+ Port Ethernet Adapter with OpenWRT. After that, I will check out the throughput with iperf3 and openspeedtest. The tests were done in bridging mode (2 SFP+ ports in same network) and routing mode (2 SFP+ ports in different network).
This network adapter is fully supported by OpenWRT, all you need to do is to install the kmod-bnx2 package (contains Kernel module for the Broadcom BCM5706/5708/5709/5716 ethernet adapter)
Using the ZimaBoard with Intel N3450, I got 7.4Gbps iperf3 throughput with a simple routing test. When Software Offloading is enabled, the device can handle 9.4Gbps throughput with just 40% CPU.
