This software package includes an API and shared library designed for interacting with the Cheetah SPI Host Adapter. Let's walk through the process of testing the provided C examples using Visual Studio 2022 Software IDE.

1. Download USB drivers from www.totalphase.com/products/usb-drivers/
2. Download latest Cheetah Software API (Windows 64-bit) from www.totalphase.com/products/cheetah-api/
3. From the C folder, Copy all the “C” files into the MSVC2008 directory
4. Open MSVC2008/Makefile.sln
5. Place cheetah.dll in the PATH environmental variable & project directory. For building 64- bit application, please make sure you select x64 in configuration manager in Project properties window and use the right version of .dll (Separate dlls (32- and 64-bit versions)) are available for separate architectures (x64 and x86). Similarly, for building 32-bit application, please make sure you select x86 in configuration manager.
6. Build | Build Solution
7. Select Debug – Start debugging – The Cheetah adapter should be detected after running the detect API example
8. Place cheetah.dll in the location of application executable (.exe)
9. Open the "C" folder and click on the _output folder generated after running the examples in Visual Studio. In the folder path, type cmd to open the command prompt, and run the detect API example. The Cheetah adapter should now be detected and displayed in the detect API example.
