• The first part covers the basics of spinning three types of DC motors – brushed, brushless, and stepper. It takes you down memory lane to your high school physics class and explains how motors spin (basic electromagnetic theory), advantages to different types of motors for various every-day applications, and design methods to improve performance with integrated gate driver solutions.
• The second part walks you through the process of building a brushless DC motor from scratch – from selecting the right components to building a form-factor fitted board to tuning motor performance. This part of the session allows you to understand key considerations to drive the most out of your motor.
