​Essential Qualification (P.A.-I): Masters in Botany, Wildlife Sciences, or Environmental Science.

​Nature of Work (P.A.-I): Required to camp for at least four months in sub-alpine birch forests of Himachal Pradesh.
​Nature of Work (J.P.F.): Extensive field work in higher Himalayan forests.
