মওলানা আবদুল হামিদ খান ভাসানী (১২ ডিসেম্বর ১৮৮০ - ১৭ নভেম্বর ১৯৭৬ - যিনি মওলানা ভাসানী নামেও পরিচিত) ছিলেন বিংশ শতাব্দীর ব্রিটিশ ভারতের অন্যতম তৃণমূল রাজনীতিবিদ ও গণআন্দোলনের নায়ক, যিনি জীবদ্দশায় ১৯৪৭-এ সৃষ্ট পাকিস্তান ও ১৯৭১-এ প্রতিষ্ঠিত বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে বিশেষ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন। তিনি বাংলাদেশের মানুষের কাছে “মজলুম জননেতা” হিসাবে সমধিক পরিচিত।

Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, shortened as Maulana Bhashani, was a Bengali politician. His political tenure spanned the British colonial India, Pakistan and Bangladesh periods.
Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani (1880-1976) was a Muslim leader who used non-violent, mass civil disobedience techniques to promote nationalism in Assam, Bengal, and Bangladesh in the northeastern part of the Indian subcontinent.
Born in 1880 in the village of Dhangara, within the province of Bengal in British India, Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani received his early education in a Madrasa, one of the religious schools for Muslim boys. As a boy of 12 he moved to Tangail, about 60 miles from Dhaka, now the capital of Bangladesh. After completing his religious schooling at Tangail and becoming a Muslim religious mentor, or Maulana, Bhashani enrolled in the Islamic Center in the United Provinces, known as the intellectual seat of militant Islam in British India.
