The climate's already changing
We're feeling the effect
Of the years we've spent denying
That the science was correct
It's time to pay attention
We can't afford to ignore
The next great mass extinction
That's knocking at the door

It's one hot mess
Every corner of the world is in distress
The sea is filled with plastic and the air is filled with smoke
And somehow politicians seem to think it's just a joke
It's one hot mess
And now it's up to us to do our best
'Cause even those who pander to the bottom line
Will find money isn't worth much when there's no one left alive

Storm systems are much stronger
The weather's getting wild
And it's more difficult to grow our food
When the temperature's not mild
The deserts are much drier
The seas rising up the shore
And the spread of wild fires
Keeps happening more and more
