Today I'm doing a small and somewhat ineffective investigation into the demonstrator (clear) versions of the Kaweco CLASSIC Sport Foutain Pens. I've had several different versions of this pen, but I never realized that there were demonstrator versions available, and I looooove demonstrator pens. So I found one demonstrator variant, for the standard $25, and then I found another, for $70, and I was expecting there to be something special about it.

Spoiler alert, there's nothing inherently special about it except that it's just rare. The Kaweco Black Crystal is apparently a limited run of 1000 pieces, which accounts for the increased price. It's really my own fault for not reading the item descriptions better and expecting that there was more to it. A limited run is totally fair reason for charge more, it's just a bit of a jolt when that's not what you're expecting. But like I said, it's my fault, I hoaxed myself!
