Trekking to Kund Banda – A Heaven of Upper Dir Kohistan
Kund Banda is in the upper limits of Kumrat Valley, Upper Dir District KPK, Pakistan. It is a place where one can have magical feelings. I have seen many beautiful places in my life, but Kund Banda is a treasure of beauty. But, unfortunately, many people who come to Jahaz Banda still don’t know about this place the heaven of Kohistan.

In my view, one can see more beautiful views at Kund Banda than at Jahaz Banda. It was my first visit to Kund Banda. But the majority of tourists don’t know about this place. That’s why this place is still not crowded. I heard about this place a few times back.

After searching this place, I came across Snake River. The population is very few here. This place is full of amazing views.

Zigzag River it's also Calling Snake River of Kund Banda
Many people who come to Jahaz Banda do not visit Kund Banda. However, the place is popular due to its Snake River. The water of the snake lake is clean and cold. The snake lake is commonly known as Nagin Darya. It gives a fantastic view as we fly a drone here. A piece of wood is placed between the river to cross it.

Konar Waterfall
Konar or Kund Banda waterfall is also called Raja Aabshar. This waterfall is also beautiful. I came back to Jahaz Banda on the same path.

Weather
The weather in this place is usually cold, even in the summer season. The place becomes inaccessible in the winter season as there is a lot of snow here. The best weather to visit the area is in June, July, and August.

Hotels
There is a camping spot at kund banda where one can stay at standard rates. The tents can accommodate 8 to 10 people at a time. The rates for one night stay are usually from 800 to 1000.

The location from Jahaz Banda Meadows
kund banda is located next to the jahaz banda. One can easily reach there after walking for 30 to 40 minutes.

There are two ways to reach here. I opted for the mountain passage. It took thirty minutes to come down from the mountain. The track is fully rocky, so one needs to be careful.

Distance from Islamabad and Lahore
The distance between kund Banda from Islamabad is almost 400 kilometers. At the same time, the base camp of jahaz meadows is 20 kilometers from kumrat valley. Then it takes nearly one hour to reach this beautiful place from the jahaz banda meadows to Konar waterfall and Kund Banda Zigzag River, by foot.
