Soy sauce chicken drumsticks

There’s never any leftovers when I make this super delicious dish (and I take the blame for eating more than my share every time). You can also use thighs or breast, but I prefer drumsticks because of its tender texture. The soy-based sauce is very smooth with a hint of star anise, garlic and ginger. The rice wine, in my opinion, is a must, but if you don’t have it, you can substitute it with another cooking wine. Lastly, use your fingers when eating these drumsticks! No knife, please.

Ingredients:

Chicken drumsticks
Star anise
Garlic
Ginger
Green onion
Dashi powder
Raw honey
Rice wine
Dark soy sauce
Soy sauce
White pepper
