Hiwre Bazar

A film where Popatrao Pawar, the Sarpanch of Hiwre Bazar shows the work done by him and his fellow villagers to revolutionise the village over a period of 25 years. Popatrao Pawar, the man who started the work of sustainable development in Hiwre Bazar, his native village, working with conservation of water, agriculture, livelihood, finally focussing on social dimension of the
development, takes the viewer on a tour of the village, showing various development works. With an element of nostalgia and support of his people, Mr. Pawar encourages the viewers to come together and work towards development of their own villages by using funds from the government to make the work truly sustainable and self-reliant.
