Section 41(7) in
The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
refers to validity of Registration Certificate of different types of vehicle

A certificate of registration issued under sub-section (3), whether before or after the commencement of this Act, in respect of a motor vehicle, [***], shall, subject to the provisions contained in this Act, be valid only for a period of fifteen years from the date of issue of such certificate [or for such period as may be prescribed by the Central Government] and shall be renewable.

Section 41(7) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, states that a motor vehicle's registration certificate is valid for 15 years from the date of issue. This applies to certificates issued before or after the Act's commencement, and the certificate is renewable. The Central Government can also prescribe a different renewal period for specific vehicle types
