Friday morning, Governor Gretchen Whitmer will lead the Michigan National Guard in the annual Pass in Review ceremony. The ceremony is a time-honored tradition of the Michigan National Guard during which accomplishments of the previous calendar year are acknowledged, outstanding performers are recognized, and deceased and fallen members of the Michigan National Guard are honored.

In 2023, Gov. Whitmer signed legislation that expands the Michigan National Guard state tuition assistance program eligibility for spouses and dependents. Tuition assistance can help with recruiting, retention, and the overall quality of life for the Guard members and their families.
