Another tragic incident in Karachi caused by an open manhole has taken the life of a 3-year-old boy, Ibrahim. The child slipped away from his mother right after they stepped out of a departmental store near Nipa Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and fell straight into an open manhole.
The heartbreaking incident occurred at around 10:30 PM on November 30, and after an intense search operation of nearly 15 hours, his body was recovered on the afternoon of December 1.

This video shows the entire situation before the body was found, including rescue attempts, ground realities, and the response of authorities.
The operation involved teams from Rescue 1122, KMC, Water Board, and other departments, while Deputy Commissioner East, Mr. Abrar Ahmed, was also present at the site.
