Micro-leader (4x) Euro Nymphing - Pitfall #1

Get ready for my inaugural, "micro-leader," fishing trial on a chilly day on the water looking for winter trout! Here too, is my near-instant feedback of the Adams Euro Nymph Mono Line (4X), and what I consider a MAJOR consideration for you too, if you plan on trying a micro setup. This was one of those, "Guess I wasn't prepared for that," deals, as I was looking to make the leap from a heavier Euro rig to this lighter one. The moral of this story, "Let my observation aid YOU in your own trials."

That all being said...the micro-leader can be a decisive rig in the world of Euro fishing. Some say they love it. Others can't stand it. I am immediately leaning to the "Loved it," category, after having spent a few days on the water with it. Time will tell, but for now I can live with any of the nuances I've noticed so far (the very reason for this video!), for the ability to cast and drift the tiniest flies with the smallest amount of drag, with the greatest sensitivity feedback possible.

But YES! There is a catch, and you'll see here, you CAN fly too close to the sun if you're unprepared. After having the same issue twice in the same outing, I knew I had to run back the tapes and figure it out...what was causing the issue? And how can I prevent others from making the same mistake? "TO THE TROUT CAVE," I yelled to my pooch, Leia. "We have saving to do, and a YouTube video to release to the world!"
