Removing and Deleting Telegram (or Any App) from the Dock on iMac and MacBook 2023

Removing and Deleting Apps from the Dock on iMac and MacBook 2023: Keep Your Desktop Clean and Organized

Locate the app on the dock: Look for the Telegram app icon on the dock at the bottom of your screen. The dock typically contains frequently used applications.

Right-click (or Control-click) on the app icon: Once you find the Telegram app icon on the dock, right-click (or Control-click) on it. This will open a context menu with various options.

Select "Options" and uncheck "Keep in Dock": In the context menu, navigate to the "Options" section and uncheck the "Keep in Dock" option. This will remove the app icon from the dock.

Open the Applications folder: Click on the "Finder" icon in the dock (the blue smiling face icon) to open a Finder window. Then, click on the "Applications" shortcut in the left sidebar.

Locate the Telegram app in the Applications folder: In the Applications folder, scroll through the list or use the search bar in the top-right corner to find the Telegram app.

Move the app to Trash: Once you locate the Telegram app, right-click (or Control-click) on it and select "Move to Trash" from the context menu. Alternatively, you can drag the app icon to the Trash bin in the dock.

Empty the Trash: To completely delete the app from your iMac or MacBook, right-click (or Control-click) on the Trash bin in the dock and select "Empty Trash" from the context menu. Confirm the action in the dialog box that appears.

Authenticate if prompted: If you're prompted to enter your administrator password to delete the app, provide the necessary credentials to proceed.

Note: Make sure you want to permanently delete the Telegram app and any associated files before emptying the Trash. Once you empty the Trash, the app and its related data will be permanently removed from your iMac or MacBook.
