Released in the US in May 1957, the A-side, "Bye Bye Love" peaked at Nr. 2 at the Billboard Hot 100 Pop chart. Both sides were recorded on March 1, 1957 at RCA Victor Studio in Nashville, Tennessee with Don Everly on lead vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, Phil Everly on harmony vocal and acoustic rhythm guitar, Chet Atkins on electric lead guitar, Ray Edenton on guitar, Jimmie Day on steel guitar, Floyd T. 'Lightnin' Chance on bass and Buddy Harman on drums. The session was produced by Archie Blyer. Words and music by Phil Everly and Don Everly.
