In this video, I demonstrate how to combine HDD and SSD using an optical drive bay. You can also use this to expand on your storage capacity by replacing your optical drive with an additional 2.5” storage drive. The steps are basically the same in both cases. Here I simplified the process into three basic steps:

2. The hardware transfers, and
3. The Configurations.
Before you purchase a hard drive caddy, first remove your optical drive and measure the thickness as shown in the video. You can use a ruler or any measurement device you have. You can also check your laptop spec sheet and see if is written there. There are two sizes:
