Music is subjective, I understand that, and I try to appreciate all types and styles of music. The Shaggs are in a different universe, though. Praised by some, reviled by others, their style of music left many people scratching their heads. From the discordant melodies, off-sync drumming, to the strange lyrics and off-key singing, they just didn't fit the mold of a pop group. Sisters Dorothy "Dot" Wiggin, Betty Wiggin, and Helen Wiggin formed the group way back in 1965. We'll take a look at what made them "The Shaggs" and we'll try to appreciate (or not) their music. Are they the worst band in the world? The worse band in history? That's up to you.
