Despite the wind and the falling branches, the final stages of the Cluny Hill Dig still went ahead. With lasers, measuring sticks, tapes and even bits of bent twig, everything was measures to within an inch of it's life to ensure that even though it may all be buried under 5 tons of soil and sand, a very accurate plan of every ditch, hole rock and stone stays on record.
