This iconic destination is a must-visit spot and one of our coastal playgrounds.

Ferris Wheel Fun: When you visit you have to take a spin on the historic Ferris wheel, an absolute classic that provides sweeping views of the Harbor and where you can take that perfect Instagram shot.

Balboa Pavilion: Explore the charming Balboa Pavilion, a historic landmark that has welcomed visitors since 1906. You can have a cocktail and dinner and many locals have been upstairs for either their kids cotillion, or a school auction or two.

Water Fun Galore: At the Fun Zone, you can rent a jet ski or paddleboard, take a fishing trip, go whale watching, or catch the Catalina Flyer to Catalina for the day.

Arcade Adventures: From classic pinball machines to video games, my kids love to stop here on our bike rides. My favorite game is ski ball and has been for over 30 years at this same spot.

Sweet Treats and Food: Coming up on Junior Guards, the kids know the spots where they have the Junior Guard deals, hot dogs, drinks and ice cream for $5 dollars.

Balboa Ferry: the Balboa Ferry takes you from the Balboa side of the peninsula to Balboa Island and is historic icon that we’re all fighting to preserve. More on that to come soon.
