1-3-2025 - Watermelon Mountain Jug Band

Watermelon Mountain Jug Band will be celebrating its 50th year of entertaining audiences in 2025, playing Americana music to satisfy a variety of musical tastes. True to the original 1920s jug bands of the South, their music comes alive with washboard, jug, kazoo, washtub bass, guitar, and banjo. The band delights audiences with country, bluegrass, Spanish, jug band, ragtime, and original music with even some classic rock 'n' roll.

The unique instrumentation and musical skills of Pat Houlihan (singer, songwriter, guitarist, juggist), Ben Perea (five-time NM banjo champion, guitar, classical guitarist), Gary Oleson (washtub bass extraordinaire) and Barbara Piper (washboard, percussion, background vocal ) are not to be missed!
