NPC Advantages: no requirements. attack debuffers (tauros, staraptor, arcanine, sylveon, toxpaex) and drifblim (willo-wisp) help if you hold a covert cloak, but may do more harm than good otherwise, depending on RNG. gardevoir (life dew) helps.

Strategy: charm, 3x horn leech drain, taunt, terastalize, horn leech. wait for torterra to attempt and fail to use shell smash a 2nd time. alternate swords dance and horn leech 3 times. horn leech to victory.

Notes: the purpose of this EV spread is to ensure that torterra prefers earthquake to earth power when its attack is at +0 and its spatk is at +2, which is what happens after the turn 1 charm and does not change from a 2nd shell smash due to taunt. attack debuffing NPCs will cause torterra to switch to earth power, which won't do more damage unless it debuffs your special attack (which activates defiant, reducing the number of swords dances needed). if you don't want to risk that you can hold a covert cloak or clear amulet, which will slow down the raid but still be winnnable.

Pros: supereffective tera type matching base type, great HP stat, excellent attack stat, good special defense stat, outspeeds torterra even after it uses shell smash. resists earthquake, earth power, and wood hammer. no weaknesses. taunt prevents torterra from using shell smash a 2nd time. charm debuffs attack 2 stages when shield is down. swords dance buffs attack 2 stages. horn leech has 75 base power, 100 accuracy, deals supereffective STAB (tera-boosted when terastalized) damage. it heals an amount equal to 50% of damage dealt. metronome boosts damage by a factor that increases with consecutive attacks (1x,1.2x,1.4x,...). defiant ability buffs 2 attack stages if torterra debuffs special defense with earth power.
