Meet LAFD's First Female & LGBTQ+ Fire Chief

On the first day of Women's History Month, Kristin Crowley was named Los Angeles Fire Department's first female and openly gay fire chief. Kristin shares how she rose through the ranks during her 23 years on duty, including fighting California wildfires alongside her wife. She hopes to inspire young girls across the nation to work toward positions of leadership, saying "if she can see her, she can be her."
