Sky News host Rowan Dean says while Joe Biden is insisting all votes be counted, Donald Trump is insisting all legal votes be counted and the distinction is critical.

"By definition, the Biden camp is implying that illegal ballots are irrelevant. Hardly the basis on which to build your presidency," he said.

"Remember, there is no objective measure of votes. There is only factual data. In theory, you should be able to count all the legitimate votes across the country again and again and come up with more or less the exact same number each time."

"If, however, corruption and fraud do exist, if people shrug and go oh well what does it matter, everyone does it, what's a few dodgy ballots here or there, then the entire underpinning of that democracy fractures. Corruption begets more and more corruption.

"Democracy relies not only upon the rule of law but also transparency surrounding and verification of the rule of law."

Mr Dean said the reality was under the cover of COVID-19, many Democratic states allowed numerous new measures around mail-in voting, which President Trump warned months ago opened the vote to widespread fraud.

"When the likes of Black Lives Matter and Antifa openly declare their hostility to democracy and believe they are oppressed by the white patriarchy, it is hardly surprising many people would believe they are doing the morally pure thing in corrupting the vote.

"Now, I love a conspiracy theory as much as the next person, and of course there may well be innocent explanations for many of the perceived oddities and abnormalities that have occurred.

"There is this coincidence, for example, of the mysteriously vertical blue lines where, not once, but twice, simultaneously in the dead of night in two key states, Biden's vote mysterious jumps straight up, a statistical improbability to say the least."

Mr Dean said the courts and the courts only were ultimately the ones who would determine if fraud had taken place.

"But unfortunately, there are so many suspicious activities surrounding the ballot, that it is not only likely but desirable that it be settled in the courts," he said.
