Introduced in 1914 the SS Vaterland brought an incredible standard of luxury to life at sea, with towering, palatial staterooms and public rooms that dwarfed those of other ships. Titanic has long been held as the 'most luxurious ship' of its era - but the truth is, as lovely as that ship's interior was, Titanic was one in a series of increasingly more luxurious vessels. The German super-liners Imperator, Vaterland and Bismarck took the cake. Fortuantely now we can explore parts of Vaterland's interior!
