Grafted Scion
1 Jump R2 - Run up to the boss and jump R2 before you reach the outstanding ridge of the circle - I do the jump and attack input before I can lock on to him
2 Unsheathe R2 - I spam the R2 button because the input seems to get eaten a lot / or am I bad at pressing R2
3 GS can now do three different things:
3.1 Scream (area of effect damage) - move, sprint or roll back, move in after the scream's effect fades and Unsheathe R2 example:    • Elden Ring - Grafted Scion - Samurai semi ...  
3.2 Rolling slices - Slice his swords at you, rolls around you, slice his swords at you again - roll in his direction twice, then Unsheathe R2 example    • Elden Ring - Grafted Scion - Samurai semi ...  
3.3 Retreating stabs - stabs to your left, then to your right while retreating - roll forward then Unsheathe R2 example    • Elden Ring - Grafted Scion - Samurai semi ...  
4 Riposte after either of these
5 Regain a fraction of stamina while moving forward
6 Unsheathe R2
7 Roll the wind up into his stance - those swords flashing past you as he gets up on his hindlegs can hit you
8 R1 to trigger his spinning attack (bleed damage should trigger on this attack)
9 Sprint into his side following his movement so as not to get hit
10 Unsheathe R2
11 He will buff now - Unsheathe R2 during buffing
12 Riposte
13 R1 to kill

The earlier you do the initial jump, the less stamina you waste on sprinting towards him, this is crucial: you need every bit of stamina you can save to react to its attacks after your opening two attacks.

The list of attacks mentioned at 3 isn't exhaustive. There are more attacks it can do, but they all follow the same approach (roll, or roll twice if necessary, then Unsheathe R2).
