Hello everyone, welcome to SlideshowEnglish. In this video we are here to talk about the famous American poet, Sylvia Plath.
Plath was born on 27 October, 1932. She was a brilliant student and she worked for many newspapers and magazine. During her college days, she attempted suicide but survived that time. After she met another poet, Ted Hughes, they married and had two children.
And time passed, Plath suffered from major depressive disorder, insomnia and also had her ECT or Electroconvulsive Therapy. But no improvements were seen in her mental condition.
Suffering from great mental illness, she committed suicide on 11 February, 1963.
