In this episode, we discuss why George Cukor is a director that you need to know ! My guest is Joseph McBride, who has written a wonderful book on Cukor, called "George Cukor's People: Acting For a Master Director", which I highly recommend.

DINNER AT EIGHT (1933), the screenplay was written by Frances Marion and Herman J. Mankiewicz, which starred Marie Dressler, John Barrymore and Wallace Beery.

LITTLE WOMEN (1933), the screenplay was written by Sarah Y. Mason and Victor Heerman, which starred Katherine Hepburn, Joan Bennett and Paul Lukas.
