This video shows burning tests at B&W company of a fuel named Colloidal petCoke in Water (CCW).

The burning of the suspension was not assisted with natural gas or other fuel, a paramount step in combustion of petCoke. A material with quite low volatile content (when compared to coal) that as a result, is very difficult to burn alone in standard boilers.

Here NDT validates the use of petCoke as a suitable fuel for boiler applications without the need of co-fuels. This fuel (CCW) also observes reduction in NOx (compared to the dry fuel), furnace heat release and fuel combustion efficiency similar to HFO.
These and other qualities are only possible when the solid particle population is mostly in the colloidal/nano range.

NDT's possess a proprietary process capable of manufacturing this fuel for boiler applications in the MW scale. The energy requirements, footprint and maintenance costs of NDT’s process are considerably less than of conventional pathways for slurry-like fuels.
